Meet Sandra Knight!
A self taught musician, Sandra plays her own brand of rhythmic guitar driven blues-pop-rock and is one of the most engaging new voices on the singer/songwriter front today! Inspired by the folk icons of the sixites and seventies, she weaves songs from the threads of the familiar to the extraordinary moments of daily life. Sandra's music translates life's experiences with an intuitive and universal appeal; inviting revelation and confession within sparkling crystals of harmonic intimacy. Possessing a voice akin to a well-worn pair of denim jeans, Sandra's music both comforts and challenges her audiences to look within... Sandra really gets it! She understands that music is a two way experience which can momentarily transport the listener within and beyond themselves, and this is no more evident than in her live performances. On stage, Sandra thoroughly inhabits a song; risking emotional transparency for the sake of the song and a possible human connection. With a warm and engaging style she invites your imagination to linger as you consider the intent behind her words. Style is defined as " ...a way of speaking or writing, especially one characteristic of an individual..." Thus, Sandra's style is superbly defined by a voice that slides around your shoulders as easily as your favorite old denim shirt and lyrics that are direct yet nothing short of poetry.
